You have probably heard plenty of people talking about this, with friends or family. But which one is truly better? Would you rather have an ugly heart, be mean-spirited and look beautiful? Or would you rather have a great personality, be smart and humble and “look average” as most people say?
I am not the best looking girl out there but I know my strong points. I have a good head on my shoulders, an optimistic attitude, ambition, perseverance, and loving family and friends.
The truth is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If a person only wants to be around you because you are the sexiest thing on the street, something is wrong. Outer beauty is only a physical appearance and for some people to maintain their outer beauty (if they solely believe in their looks) causes for loads of makeup, different hair and clothing styles and an empty wallet. And although each one of us is entitled to look and feel  as we please, do you really want someone to love you solely upon your looks? If we rely upon outer beauty alone when we present ourselves to others, this amounts to nothing more than creating a false and temporary illusion of who we truly are.
Inner beauty is a permanent truth. Inner beauty defines who you are as a person and empowers outer beauty. A girl can only go so far with her looks until it is not enough. Inner beauty is a divine essence that cannot be manufactured. Inner beauty is created from within. People who embrace and enhance their inner beauty can attract any person, any hour of any day.
And how do we embrace and enhance that inner beauty? By looking at the world without virgin eyes, by self-instruction, by self-improvement. By surrounding ourselves with people who will bring us up and encourage us to move forward. Respect and appreciate yourself. Inner beauty is consistently evolving and progressing, knowing your worth and maintaining a healthy self-esteem.
And maintain your outer beauty. Just because you have an outstanding inner beauty does not mean you should neglect your outer. Embrace and love who you are!
Until next time.
xoxo
