Hello my darlings!

You have probably been wondering where I have been. Busy busy, busy!

I have been busy with my family, working on ideas for new YouTube videos and working on growing my business.

One thing that you guys already know about me: I LOVE beauty products. But what else do I like?

Clothes, Shoes, Jewelry and Candles. I found a business where I am able to sell something that I am interested in: Candles and Jewelry! (:

Jewelry in Candles is the new business I started. I am sure most of you have heard of Diamond Candles, Jewel Scent, and 3-8-1. I would like to tell you why I decided to join Jewelry in Candles.

I joined Jewelry in Candles because of the people. My upline is amazing. She is very helpful, instructive, friendly and caring. When I signed up under her, I did not have any money to buy my sample kit. She provided me with one out of her own money and sent me a binder with every candle scent, places and how to advertise and so much more!

Jewelry in Candles has a community where every Representative can have a place to ask their questions, give advice and share everything they have learned to help others succeed. We have weekly conferences with the person who created Jewelry in Candles, Micah, every Tuesday night at 9pm.

Jewelry in Candles has changed my life and I have only been a Representative for about a month. The candles are 100% soy wax which burns cleanly in your home and safer for the environment. All candles and tarts are hand poured and the scents smell amazing!

My mother, son, friends and customers have been blown away by the scents of the candles and I cannot wait to see what else the company has to offer in the future! There are over 40 scents to choose from and there are new releases every week!

The jewelry in the candles range from $10 to $7000 and customers are able to pick a necklace, earrings or a ring as their surprise with every purchase of a candle or tart. This company is truly amazing and these are a few reasons why I chose to join.

So, this is why I have been absent in posting and uploading videos to YouTube! But don't worry! I am ready to take on this business, my blog and my YouTube Channel and take it to the next level!

If you would like to look around the website for Jewelry in Candles, here is the website! (:

1. Making others feel at ease is the essence of etiquette, yesterday and today.

2. There are few words more elementary or welcomed than ‘please’ and ‘thank you’.

3. Good moods are contagious, hopefully yours will be pleasantly catching.

4. Be aware and considerate of other peoples personal space physically, visually and aurally.

5. Showing respect is a gift, one that costs nothing and is endlessly appreciated.

6. Think of your tone of voice as a telegraph, as a listener, it speaks volume.

7. A short fuse does nothing but burn, should you find yourself with one, steer clear of others.

8. Never underestimate the message that is sent by your poise and posture.

9. Clothes count. Appropriate attire is not only respectful, but refreshing.

10. Let common sense be your guide and graciousness your goal.

"Beauty is not what's on the inside or the outside, it's the moment captured when you are at your best."

Natural beauty doesn't mean that you simply do not wear make-up. It is about making the most of your assets, learning how to tone down and present flaws well and having a beautiful personality. Anyone can achieve natural beauty by simply changing their lifestyle around.

Part 1: Maintain Your Body Health

We have all heard that what we put in our body presents itself on the outside. This is true! Eating healthy by consuming fresh fruits, vegetables and eating whole grains. You will have more energy and a better skin complexion. Limit how much fat and sugar you intake.

Drink plenty of water! Water flushes toxins from the body and gives you a better skin complexion. Get plenty of fresh air and exercise regularly!

Last but not least, make sure you are getting plenty of sleep. Getting at least eight hours of sleep rejuvenates the body and prevents dark circles around the eyes.

Part 2: Beauty Regime

Every woman should know what is best for their body. What kind of skin do you have? What texture is your hair? Write down how your body responds to beauty products. Once you know what works best for your body and skin, you can develop a beauty regime that keeps you looking beautiful naturally.

Exfoliating your skin removes dead cells and gives you a healthy glow. Do this at least twice a  week but no more than that as it can cause breakouts! Washing your face with lukewarm to cold water makes it more pink for a blushing effect. Moisture your skin daily and protect yourself from the sun with sunscreen.

We, as woman, are very harmful to our hair with chemicals and heat. This can cause our hair to become damaged and brittle. Take good care of your hair by using sulfate-free products when washing and conditioning and rinse with lukewarm to cold water to maintain shine and reduce frizz. Make sure to keep your hair moisturized and trimmed to get rid of split ends to help hair growth.

I know you guys were probably wondering when I was going to talk about make-up. You do not want to use more of it but less! Heavy make-up hides true beauty and can ultimately lead to breakouts. Keeping your skin cleansed and moisturized will keep you looking smooth and clear. Skip the foundation unless your really need it and add a little blush to the apples of your cheeks and chap-stick/lip gloss to the lips to keep them lush looking.

Challenge yourself! Go without make-up for a few days to give your skin a chance to breathe. Trust me. It will help (;

Part 3: Have a Naturally Beautiful Attitude

Count your blessings instead of your hardships. This will help you keep a positive attitude and a better perspective of your future. It takes more muscles to frown than to smile!

Be confident! Tell yourself that you are beautiful and believe in it! Try everyday to be happy with who you are and do not compare yourself to others as it can drain self-esteem. Always be happy with who you are, who you were in the past and who you will be in the future.

Wear clothes that flatter your body and that you feel good in. This does not mean copying every trend out there. Wear what you like and what you feel comfortable in. Do you have a pair of jeans that shows off those hips? A dress that hits your curves just right? Throw it on! You'll feel better and look good too.

It doesn't take much to be naturally beautiful but it is something that you have to continuously work on. Putting in a weeks effort isn't going to change you overnight. Don't worry! The world was not created in a day (:

Now, before you go out and by skin care products, the first thing you should know is your skin type. We all come in different shapes and sizes...and different types of skin. So which one is yours?

Skin types vary depending upon factors: water content, oil and sensitivity level.

There are five different types of skin types: normal, oily, sensitive, dry and combination.

Normal Skin Type

If you have normal skin, it is neither too dry or too oily. It has few imperfections, no severe sensitivity, barely visible pores and a radiant complexion.

Oily Skin Type

Oily skin can produce enlarged pores, dull or shiny complexion and blackheads, pimples and other blemishes. Oiliness can change depending on the time of the year or the weather. It can worsened by stress and too much exposure to heat.

Tips for Oily Skin:

  • wash your face twice a day- once in the morning and once before bed.
  • use a gentle cleanser and do not scrub!
  • Remember oily skin still needs to be moisturized. Try using water based or oil-free moisturizers
  • Exfoliate once a week to remove dirt and oil in your pores

Sensitive Skin Type

If you have sensitive skin, it could be for a variety or reasons and the trick is to find the trigger. Could it be the kind of fabric your wearing or sleeping on? Face care products? Allergies? Sensitive skin can be red, itchy, burning and dry.

Tips for Sensitive Skin:

  • Use sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB rays.
  • Stay hydrated.
  • Wash your skin thoroughly and moisturize.
  • Test products before apply them.

Dry Skin Type

Dry skin types produce almost invisible pores, dull complexion, red patches, less elasticity and more visible lines. When exposed, skin can crack, peel or become irritated and itchy. Dry skin can be caused by aging, weather, genetics, long and hot baths, or ingredients in soaps, cosmetics and cleansers.

Tips for Dry Skin:

  • Take shorter, cooler baths.
  • Use mild, gentle soaps and cleansers and do not scrub while bathing or drying!
  • Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! Oils and creams may work better than lotions.

Combination Skin Type

When it comes to combination skin, it can be dry or normal in some areas and then oily in others (such as the T-zone). There are more people with combination skin. It can produce overly dilated pores, black heads and shiny skin.

Tips for Combination Skin Type:

  • Balance is key! Use products that work for combination skin.
  • Avoid using harsh scrubs which can cause irritation.
  • Protect your skin with sunscreen daily.
  • Use a weekly face mask to balance out your skin.
  • Don't use products that have fragrances, oils, alcohol or irritants.
Knowing your skin type is absolutely necessary in order to make the right decisions for skin care products, treatments and make-up. Also, the health and beauty of your skin depends on what you eat and how you take care of yourself. Put the right nutrients into your body and it will thank you in return!

So, what is your skin type?

How high or low is your self-esteem? There are many interpretations of self-esteem that has people, especially women, confused and unhappy with themselves. Most people think self-esteem has to do with how popular you are, what you have accomplished in life, or how you look. Our self-esteem is instilled in us during our youth and being criticized by family, friends and society can strip that away from us. Simply put: self-esteem means to appreciate yourself for who you are (yes, even the flaws).

Here are three steps that personally helped me gained self-esteem.

Step #1: Work on Improving Yourself

When I first started going to counseling, she told me one of the ways to improve self-esteem is to spend time working (focusing) on myself rather than focusing (or trying to be like) everyone else. I had followed others for so long that I did not even know what I liked when I wasn't around them. Self-esteem is not only knowing your strengths and weaknesses. You should open yourself up to new opportunities, trying something new, new thoughts and actions, and new friendships.

One of the first things I did was changed my wardrobe (not all at once). I went from dark, lifeless colors to something more bright and open. I tried styles that I thought I wouldn't like to find that I loved how they complimented my body. I found that dressing nicely made me appreciate my physical appearance more. Next step, I cut my hair. I had went out on a limb with this because I wanted a change but it raised my self-esteem because people complimented on it every day.

I started exercising. Since I had my son four years ago, I still hadn't lost all the baby fat from the pregnancy and I dreaded my body every day for it. "Danny," I said. "If you want to feel better about yourself, you need to get your ass to the gym." And I did. Exercise is an excellent way to boost self-esteem and gives you more energy for your day. If you would rather not go alone, bring a friend!

Step #2: Stand Out

When you look for the best in others, you bring out the best in yourself. Walk up to a random person and compliment them. You will not only feel better that you did but you will brighten up their day (and may initially) boost their self-esteem as well.

Start speaking up for yourself and others. There is nothing like a shot to confidence when you let someone else bring you down.

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent."
-Eleanor Roosevelt

Giving back to others, not only helps you, but helps someone else in the process. It is always a good thing to help with volunteers, projects, or a listening ear. People will notice you more and you may be awarded for your efforts.

Step #3: Ban the Negativity

Are you always around negative people? Are you in a negative environment? Remove them. Self-esteem is hurt more by negative aspects in your life than anything else and continually staying in the environment could lead to depression. Face your fears and learn from your mistakes.

Your opinion of yourself is what matter most of all. Start from within. Forget everything that has happened in the past. Stop with the negative thoughts. If you constantly tell yourself, "I am not good enough.", you are always going to feel that way. My husband told me to tell myself that I am beautiful every day in the mirror. The more I did it, the more I believed it. Put more positive thoughts in your head, say them aloud to yourself every day and start believing.

If you can't start big, start small. Take baby steps when reaching for your self-esteem. Trust yourself and go with whatever feels right to you.

One of the most important things about self-esteem is to Be Yourself.

Now, when you think of a classy woman, what is the first picture that comes to your mind?

For me, I can see a well-polished young lady with her hair done, make-up perfect, nails groomed and graciously dressed in form fitting clothing (which would probably consists of a pencil skirt and red high-heels). The point is when people think of a classy woman the first thing that comes to mind is how elegant they look.

Well, if that is what being classy is all about, why don't we all do it? Because apparently there is nothing else to it: WRONG.

As I researched this topic, I found more interesting pieces on how a woman should act instead of how a woman should look. You can be well-polished and have a horrible qualities about yourself. Being a classy woman should be a 50/50 aspect: 50% quality and 50% looks. So, in this article today, I am going to share seven rules to becoming a more classy, elegant woman.

Rule #1: Manners

A classy woman should always be well-mannered: this excludes cursing, being obnoxiously loud, talking about other woman in a rude way (especially behind their backs), burping in public, and talking about money and how much class you have (or think you may have). A classy woman should always know when to say "please", "thank you", "sorry", and "your welcome". She should greet people, even if they do not return the favor, and be generous. The key to having manners is to avoid being rude and inconsiderate to others, as well as yourself.

Rule #2: Social Etiquette

A classy woman should always know how to carry themselves in public from the way they walk to good posture. There are a few points here that a woman should practice everyday: not slouching, talking while there is food in your mouth, eating with your mouth open, and sitting with your legs propped like a man.

Treat others the way you want to be treated. Giving others advanced notice before being late or canceling plans, speaking up for those who cannot do it themselves, checking up on your parents and friends, not playing on your phone during a conversation and looking people straight in the eye during conversation.

Good hygiene is a must! We have always heard that we should make a good first impression and the first thing people see is how you carry yourself. Wear clothing that flatters your body but nothing too revealing (no breast ladies). Avoid exposed undergarments. Key notes: don't wipe your nose on your sleeves or burping out loud in public, or digging up your nose. Get your look together BEFORE leaving the house. Don't put on make-up in public (unless touching up in a bathroom), comb your hair in public, or do anything that makes you look like you weren't put together (or put any effort into keeping your composure) before leaving the house.

Rule #3: Be Modest

A classy woman always knows when to be modest. This means that she is down-to-earth and humble. There is not a need to be a diva or boastful. She knows how to accept compliments with gratitude, treats everyone with respect and do not need to display power over others. She does not need to say how classy she is if it truly shows. She does not need to boast about how much money she has. And she especially do not need to dress to impress. There is a difference between dressing to impress and dressing to make a good first impression.

You know how to dress your body to enhance your beauty, not to show off. Do not show too much skin or cleavage. She knows not to dress loudly or follow in the latest trends to make a statement.

Rule #4: Authenticity

A classy woman knows how to be herself. She knows how to be free to herself and lives proudly. She does not need to be deceptive or hide behind a facade. She knows how to enjoy herself and embraces life with a positive perspective. She knows how to show her emotions by laughing joyfully, crying when she's sad and reaching out to others when she needs to.

Rule #5: Be Knowledgeable

A classy woman embraces knowledge. She states whether she knows about a topic and asks for more information. This shows maturity and shows that she is open minded. She is politically, religiously and culturally aware. Having the basic knowledge about a topic can save much embarrassment and frustration. Be well read. There has never been any harm in picking up a book.

Rule #6: Personal Development

A classy woman should be open to constructive change. She knows how to face life, rather than burying her head, and shows that her opinions count in the world. Learn new skills and make new goals. Being classy means changing unhealthy habits and living a better lifestyle, if this means going to the gym, get to it! It's not classy to think you know everything. Remember that the learning process is never over.

Rule #7: Confidence

Confidence is what sets a classy woman apart from a showy woman. Confidence does not mean looking for everyone's approval, being manipulative or putting others down to feel better about one's self. A classy woman is aware of her worth no matter the opinion's of others. She is independent. She knows how to embrace her femininity and show it. She can think and stand up for herself but knows when she needs to back down as well.

Becoming a classy woman may not be easy but there is always room for improvement in our lives. I am not going to be the first woman to raise my hand when the question arises as to who is truly classy because I am a work in progress. You should not fret. Change takes time and determination. The more you practice, the more it become second nature.

What are your thoughts on becoming a classy woman? What are your thoughts on the definition of a classy woman?

You have probably heard plenty of people talking about this, with friends or family. But which one is truly better? Would you rather have an ugly heart, be mean-spirited and look beautiful? Or would you rather have a great personality, be smart and humble and “look average” as most people say?
I am not the best looking girl out there but I know my strong points. I have a good head on my shoulders, an optimistic attitude, ambition, perseverance, and loving family and friends.
The truth is, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If a person only wants to be around you because you are the sexiest thing on the street, something is wrong. Outer beauty is only a physical appearance and for some people to maintain their outer beauty (if they solely believe in their looks) causes for loads of makeup, different hair and clothing styles and an empty wallet. And although each one of us is entitled to look and feel  as we please, do you really want someone to love you solely upon your looks? If we rely upon outer beauty alone when we present ourselves to others, this amounts to nothing more than creating a false and temporary illusion of who we truly are.
Inner beauty is a permanent truth. Inner beauty defines who you are as a person and empowers outer beauty. A girl can only go so far with her looks until it is not enough. Inner beauty is a divine essence that cannot be manufactured. Inner beauty is created from within. People who embrace and enhance their inner beauty can attract any person, any hour of any day.
And how do we embrace and enhance that inner beauty? By looking at the world without virgin eyes, by self-instruction, by self-improvement. By surrounding ourselves with people who will bring us up and encourage us to move forward. Respect and appreciate yourself. Inner beauty is consistently evolving and progressing, knowing your worth and maintaining a healthy self-esteem.
And maintain your outer beauty. Just because you have an outstanding inner beauty does not mean you should neglect your outer. Embrace and love who you are!
Until next time.
